Albums you should buy. What music should our Readers get this week?This week showcases a little bit of everything. From teen sensations Aly and AJ, to a 60s influenced pop soundtrack and hard rock returns with the Smashing Pumkins. But out of all the albums released this week, our favorites are Justin Lanning and Aly and AJ.

From teen sensations Aly and AJ, to a 60s influenced pop soundtrack and hard rock returns with the Smashing Pumkins. But out of all the albums released this week, our favorites are Justin Lanning and Aly and AJ.
Why those two?Justin Lanning is fairly new Artist. He has been around since 2003. He was part of boy band, but
eventually went solo and he's back with his first solo release entitled Behind These Eyes. The album contains lots of great love ballads and beautiful soft rock tracks, in fact Justin reminds us of former American Idol contestant, Elliot Yamin, who had a great album this year. Justin's album places him as a potential notable Artist and writer if he sticks with the right material and right formula. There's lots of potential there. There's no doubt about that. Now, Aly and AJ are no strangers to all the pre-teen fans out there. Their last album Into The Rush was a Platinum selling hit, and we were really fans of theirs. Now, the sisters are back with Insomniatic, which does not step too far off from their "play it safe" lyrics. The music is good, very family oriented , Rated G. It's something that the whole family can listen to, and we recommend that. Just because of the fact that it's something that we need lately especially in today's world.
But Aly and AJ's ablum isn't an award wining album is it?
They're not an award wining group! Their music is directed or targeted to a very distinct market, and it's doing very well.
The Hairspray soundtrack. How good is it?
As you know, they have a No.1 Record on this week's chart. "You Can't Stop The Beat" which also appears inside the film. Most of the tracks on the soundtrack are included in the movie, whiles some are exclusive to the soundtrack and others to the movie.. The music is 60's pop but with a twist of some of today's voices. You'll find High School Musical star Zac Efron on there, new commer, Nikki Blonsky, Aimee Allen and some of the Actors lend their singing talents to the disc as well. You'll hear John Travolta and Queen Latifah. It's a fun amazing album, but slightly draws out some of the richness from the original. Oh, and Queen Latifah shines on the track "Come So Far (Got So Far To Go)" which comes in at No.6 on this week's chart.
What are the major highlights for Next week?
Next week will be a rather slow week. The most notable album release will be from Yellowcard. However, unknown releases have never stopped to amazed us.
