Good Luck! Must be 18+
What age were you, when you first started to sing?
I first started singing at the age of 3.
Most people started out singing in church. Was that pretty much of your life?
Well, that is actually where I began singing. I was in the choir, and we needed someone to sing lead on a song entitled "Reason Why I Love Him So." So there I am, this little tiny boy with my hand raised so anxiously wanting to get chosen. I was chosen, so I ran down to get the microphone, and began to sing. Afterwards everyone looked as if they had just seen a ghost (Totally Shocked). Since then my life has been centered around singing everywhere I go.
Your song "I'm Sorry Baby", was it written about something you were going through?
Not exactly, It was written for those ladies that can't seem to forgive us men when we make one mistake. You may tell them your sorry and it may seem like in that moment they have forgiven you, when deep in their heart they are still holding that against you. So men when you get that kind of lady, just play Rashod‘s "I'm Sorry Baby," and I assure you it will make everything alright.
Do you work with a vocal coach?
Yes, I've actually been getting vocal training for about a year and a half now. I begin vocal training my freshmen year in college. Then due to hurricane Katrina I transferred to a college in TX where I received training from an excellent vocal instructor. I must say vocal training is one of my best decisions so far. It definitely helps improve that talent us artist already have.
What would you say is your style of music?
I consider my style of music to be R&B/Soul.
Who are your inspirations, musically?
Well from a musical stand point I would have to say Christina Aguilera, Anthony Hamilton, Alicia Keys, India Arie, Avant, Keyshia Cole, Brain McKnight, Mariah Carey, and so many more.
Do you do any stage performances? What you do to prepare before going on stage?
Most definitely! That is by far my favorite part of this musical journey, performing. To prepare before going on stage I like to listen to those artist that inspire me, and then have a moment of down time where I focus on my performance (prayerfully).
What's your favorite song you recorded so far?
I must say that "Faithful" is my Favorite. It is an anthem for all those lovers out there that find the temptation of cheating hard to deal with.
Your favorite celebrity crush?
Unfortunately for me, my favorite celebrity crush just recently tied the knot. So my favorite now would definitely be Jessica Alba. She is such a lady with a charm.
What would be a "dream come true" for you?
A dream come true for me would be to be a successful Recording Artist that touches lives across the world through my music with this gift I am so thankful for.
