The credit in Cove’s archive
Cove’s Record of the Week page from June 2006 ends with an archive of earlier picks. The first is “Lay Me Down”, followed by its writers: Michelle Branch, Jessica Harp, Greg Wells
, and the rating Album - 3 Stars
. The page says its songwriter credits are in accordance to allmusic.com
, and it does not say whose the star rating is. So all Cove recorded here is that the song was once a Record of the Week pick.
MusicBrainz places “Lay Me Down” on The Wreckers’ album Stand Still, Look Pretty (23 May 2006), with a live version on Way Back Home (2007). It also records Jessica Harp as a member of The Wreckers from 2004.

Four release groups in all, two of them singles. Wikipedia says the duo recorded and performed from 2005 to 2007, which matches the release dates. It records a Grammy nomination for “Leave the Pieces”. Chart positions for the duo are widely reported, but not in a source this page cites, so they are left out.
Solo
| First released | Title | Type | Label on first release |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2002 | Preface | Album | not listed |
| 2010-03-16 | A Woman Needs | Album | Warner Bros. Records |
Two albums in MusicBrainz under her own name. Preface, dated 2002, has no label, and so predates The Wreckers. A Woman Needs came out on Warner Bros. Records on 16 March 2010. Wikipedia describes a solo deal on Warner Bros. after the duo split, the same label The Wreckers had been signed to, and dates the second album to March 2010, in agreement with MusicBrainz.
Since 2010
Nothing new appears under her name in MusicBrainz after 2010. Wikipedia now describes her as a songwriter and former country artist. That is the documented state of the career, and it explains why her trace in Cove’s archive, fittingly, is a writing credit rather than a performance.
Other singers in this set were in groups before or after their time in Cove’s pages, among them Aimee Allen, later in The Interrupters, and Frankie J, formerly of the Kumbia Kings.
