On Cove’s Christian list
On the Christian chart of the August 2008 Editor’s List, 21:03 hold two consecutive places:
- No. 4: “Time for a Change”
- No. 5: “Brace Up (with Pda)”
Both are credited to Total Attention, and both are on that album’s MusicBrainz track listing. There the second appears simply as “Brace Up”; the “with Pda” credit is Cove’s, and we have not identified the guest it refers to. Third Day held the top of the list, and three of its ten places. Cove’s note on the method applies here as everywhere: Songs are rated by the Editors of Cove Magazine. This list is by no means world wide, since albums selected are normally released only in North America.

MusicBrainz records four albums. The first two are on Verity Records, and the first carries the name of the production outfit PAJAM in its title. Total Attention is dated 22 July 2008. That is the same date MusicBrainz gives for Above the Golden State’s debut, which sat two places above it on Cove’s list. The two later albums, Momentum (2016) and Never Let Me Down (2021), have no label in the record.
Who they are
MusicBrainz gives the United States as the group’s area and no city. Wikipedia places them in Detroit, and describes their music as contemporary gospel, Christian R&B and Christian hip hop. It also says the group was signed to PAJAM. Lineups changed over the years, and Wikipedia names current and former members. We have kept member names off this page, because MusicBrainz and Wikipedia do not spell them the same way and we could not settle which is right.
The name is written as a time, “21:03”. Wikipedia’s spelling of the first album’s title, Twenty One O’Three, suggests how it is said.
What is documented since
Two albums, eight and thirteen years after the one Cove picked, with no label recorded. Wikipedia mentions radio success for several singles, but cites no chart figures in a form we could reproduce here, so we give none. The group’s presence in Cove’s archive is a reminder that the Christian list was not an afterthought. The same chart that month included Francesca Battistelli and pureNRG.
Total Attention, track by track
